What happens on your device,
stays on your device.
There is no upload step in AbhedX, because there is nowhere to upload to. The vault is written to your disk and read back from it.
Keeping the vault local reduces your exposure: there is no company database of AbhedX vaults for anyone to go after. It is not a promise that nothing can ever go wrong — no software can honestly make one. Two features do reach the network, and only if you turn them on: the breach monitor sends a short hash prefix, never a password, and sync moves the already-encrypted vault through a folder or a network you already own.

The grant is created and used offline — it is a signed, encrypted file, not a request to a service. Set it up before you need it.

Getting in means your master password — or Windows Hello, if you turn it on. Repeated wrong attempts lock the vault, and it locks itself again when you walk away.

The vault is: it is an encrypted file on your own disk, AbhedX reads and writes it there, and there is no account to create and no server of ours that ever holds a copy. Two features do use the network, and only if you switch them on. The breach monitor sends the first few characters of a hash — never a password — to check against known breach data. Sync copies the already-encrypted vault through a folder you own (OneDrive, Google Drive) or across your own Wi-Fi. Leave both off and AbhedX needs nothing from the internet.
Up to 10 credentials, with the same AES-256-GCM encryption and the same offline vault as the paid version. No credit card, no trial clock, no account. When 10 is not enough, a paid plan lifts the limit and opens the rest of the features.
Nothing we can do — and that is the point. Your master password is what unlocks the vault, it is not stored on any server, and we never receive it, so there is no reset link we could send you. That is the trade you make for a vault nobody else holds. Set up Windows Hello as a second way in, and set up emergency access, while you still can.
The AbhedX extension for Chrome and Edge recognises the login form on the page you are on, matches it against your local vault and fills the username and password for you. The credentials come out of the vault on your PC — not out of a cloud service.
Yes, and it stays your business how. AbhedX can sync the encrypted vault between your machines over your own Wi-Fi, or through a folder you already use, such as OneDrive or Google Drive. What travels is the encrypted file; the key to it never leaves your head.
No. It uses k-anonymity: AbhedX hashes the password locally and sends only the first few characters of that hash, then does the matching on your PC against the range that comes back. The password, and the full hash, never leave the machine.
It works anywhere — passwords, cards, files and notes have no nationality. What makes it India-first is that the Indian things are built in rather than bolted on: a full Hindi interface, DigiLocker, IFSC and UPI fields, and templates for Aadhaar, PAN and voter ID.
